Built around a central courtyard plaza, Dockside Wharf is an enclosed community space with a bakery, neighbourhood pub/restaurant and fitness centre. Placed on the shores of the Upper Habour, Dockside Wharf residents can enjoy leisurely water activities like kayaking, boating and fishing, or use the Harbour for convenient transportation to the nearby downtown core. Dockside Green is built beside near the head of the Galloping Goose Regional Trail providing easy walking and cycling access to most of southern Vancouver Island.
Across the Johnson Street bridge in Downtown lies the diverse and modern Vic West subarea. The community is growing rapidly, especially in areas adjacent to the waterfront.
